Yes, I know that. My point was, and a good piece of advice to include, if you CAN pay off your card every month, the rewards can be very beneficial. The article doesn’t make that very clear and instead says many times to stop using credit cards which makes sense, only if you can’t make the payments.

As I said in my second point, Dump credit cards – If you can’t pay full balance every month. So if you can’t pay full amount by end of the billing month, you’ll end up paying interestr ate as high as 20% in some cases. That make the rewards minuscule in retrospective and you actually end up paying more.

However, if you have the money to pay for the purchase and you intend to pay off the bill right away, you can significantly benefit from credit card rewards programs without paying any interest. This is especially true on things like meals and small purchases which often have higher reward rates.
